Putting yourself out there can be tough.
Everyone has a unique voice, a unique message, a unique story that was meant to be shared with the world.
But when you have spent your entire life (and most likely lifetimes and lifetimes before that) being told that you're opinion is not important, that you should sit down and shut up, that no one cares what you think, that you're ideas are insignificant, that you're too out there, that you're too much, that you're not enough, that you're weird, that you're crazy, that no one agrees with you...the list could go on and on. It's so much easier to keep our mouths, our minds and our hearts closed off from expressing our true selves.
This is something that I have struggled with all my life (hello, throat chakra!) I never spoke up for myself because I didn't think anyone cared about what I had to say. I am a great listener, and observer of course...compassionate and empathetic, caring...but I yearned to have my voice heard, and to be seen.
When I started my own business, not speaking out and not putting myself out there wasn't an option. I realized that if I was going to help anyone with my talents and my skills and my gifts, they needed to know I exist! They needed to know what I am capable of, how I could serve them and how I was available to do so.
It has taken a lot of inner work and healing to be able to express myself as I do today. I know that many are still struggling with putting themselves out there. Along the way, I found approaches that felt good, easy and true for me, so I can share myself authentically, and not just follow what others have done or have told me I should do.
I created a video that offers 3 simple steps that may help you begin to overcome your fear of putting yourself out there, and to share yourself with the world. I hope that it inspires you to start thinking about your relationship with your own self-expression. Enjoy!
I'd love to hear from you!
